2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK 1.8L Petrol · GJ06 AEE

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a clean record of passes over the last four years. The most recent test on 27 February 2024 at 103,491 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates the car met all minimum legal requirements for safety and emissions at that time. The mileage is notably low for a twenty year old vehicle, averaging roughly 5,175 miles per year. Between March 2022 and February 2024, the odometer increased by 6,013 miles, showing consistent but light usage. The lack of any recorded defects across these tests suggests a well-maintained example or one that has seen very little demanding use. The MOT history is unusually sparse regarding technical faults. The failures on 11 March 2022 and 15 March 2023 were resolved on the same day, though the record does not specify the exact defects that caused those initial failures. This lack of detailed advisory data means the record provides no insight into the current state of wear-and-tear items. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components that often degrade during periods of low usage. Check for perished rubber suspension bushes, leaking shock absorbers, and the condition of the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting. Given the age of this Mercedes-Benz SLK, a thorough check of the roof mechanism and the underside for structural corrosion is essential, as these areas are not always highlighted in a clean MOT pass.
