2011 Nissan Navara 2.5L Diesel · GK61 ACZ

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2025-11-26 at 169,919 miles resulted in a failure, though no defects were recorded. This follows a pattern of inconsistent outcomes, including a pass and failure on the same day in 2024-11-28 at 163,036 and 163,035 miles, respectively. The absence of recorded defects in these tests suggests either a technical error or a lack of thorough inspection. The maintenance trend shows no clear improvement or deterioration, but the repeated failures without specific issues raise concerns about the vehicle’s reliability and the consistency of testing. Mileage progression indicates an average annual usage of 11,328 miles, aligning with typical patterns for a 15-year-old vehicle. However, the short interval between the 2024-11-28 tests (one pass and one failure) at nearly identical mileages implies potential pressure to pass the inspection rather than addressing underlying issues. The 2023-12-04 pass at 156,326 miles and subsequent failure in November 2023 at 156,290 miles further highlight instability, though no defects were noted. The sparse data limits definitive conclusions but underscores the need for a detailed mechanical check. A buyer should prioritise inspecting the braking system, suspension components, and exhaust for signs of wear or corrosion, as these are common failure points in older diesel vehicles. The lack of recorded defects in multiple tests does not guarantee mechanical soundness, particularly given the recent failure. Structural integrity and engine health should also be verified, as high mileage combined with inconsistent MOT results may mask deeper issues. A professional inspection is strongly advised to confirm the vehicle’s roadworthiness beyond the MOT records.
