2022 Hyundai Kona Ultimate GDI HEV S-A 1.6L Hybrid electric · GU22 BZL

This 2022 Hyundai Kona Ultimate GDI HEV S-A presents a clean and stable roadworthiness record. The most recent MOT, conducted on 7 May 2026 at 50,015 miles, passed with zero defects recorded. The preceding test on 28 May 2025 at 45,421 miles also passed with no advisories or failures. This consecutive clean-sheet pattern indicates a resolving or consistently well-maintained trend, with no recurring mechanical or structural faults flagged across the two available entries. The vehicle has covered approximately 4,594 miles in the twelve months between the May 2025 and May 2026 tests. Over its roughly four-year life, the recorded 50,015 miles equate to an annualised average of around 12,500 miles, which sits on the higher side for a vehicle of this age. That said, the mileage accumulation between the two MOTs is steady and unremarkable, with no sudden spikes or suspiciously long dormant periods that might suggest odometer tampering or extended neglect. Despite the clean MOT history, the high annual mileage warrants a careful physical inspection of high-wear components. A buyer should examine the front and rear brake discs and pads for uneven wear, check the condition of all four tyres for edge wear or feathering, and inspect the suspension bushes, drop links, and coil springs for play or deterioration. The hybrid drivetrain should be assessed for smooth regenerative braking engagement and any unusual whine from the electric motor or transmission during a road test. Given the absence of any flagged defects, structural corrosion advisories, or emissions failures in the record, the mechanical risk profile appears low. The cleanest approach remains a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified technician, focusing on the underside for stone chips or early corrosion around suspension mounting points and the exhaust system, particularly if the vehicle has been used predominantly for short, high-frequency trips at this mileage.
