2012 Lexus GS 450H Premier CVT 3.5L Hybrid electric · GY12 YWK

This 2012 Lexus GS 450H Premier CVT passed its most recent MOT on 2026-01-13 with 151,686 miles and no defects recorded. The MOT history shows five consecutive passes with no advisories or failures since 2022, indicating consistently good condition across all tested systems. There is no pattern of recurring issues in the official records. Mileage is 151,686 over approximately 14 years—about 10,835 miles per year—which falls within the typical range for this model age. This suggests regular use rather than prolonged inactivity, though the absence of defects doesn’t rule out wear on high-friction components like brakes, suspension bushes, or CVT transmission internals. No warning signs appear in the MOT data, and the steady, moderate mileage growth (19,748, 25,304, 20,005, and 18,748 miles between tests) shows no sudden spikes that would imply hard use or neglect. That said, MOTs do not test everything—especially components that don’t fail outright but degrade over time. The CVT transmission, hybrid battery, and suspension bushes are common wear items on high-mileage hybrids of this era, even when MOTs come back clean. The most critical checks for a buyer to perform in person are: - Inspect the CVT fluid condition and level, and ask for service history. - Listen for unusual noises from the hybrid system during cold and warm starts.
