2007 Lexus GS 3.5L Hybrid electric · HD56 FZR

The most recent MOT record is from February 2024, where the vehicle passed with no defects. However, as today is June 2026, the vehicle is now significantly overdue for its annual test, meaning its current roadworthiness is unverified. The recorded history from 2020 to 2024 shows a very stable and positive trend. The car achieved five consecutive passes without a single defect or advisory being noted, which is unusual for a vehicle of this age and suggests it was well-maintained during that period. The mileage of 198,562 miles is typical for a 19-year-old car, averaging around 10,451 miles per year. This indicates consistent use rather than long periods of standing, which is generally better for the engine and seals, though it does mean that drivetrain components, suspension, and brakes have undergone significant wear over their lifespan. The main risk is the gap in MOT history between February 2024 and June 2026. While the previous trend was exceptionally clean, the current lack of a valid certificate means any new defects developed over the last two years remain unknown. When inspecting the car in person, prioritize checking the condition of the tyres and brakes, as these are high-wear items that may have deteriorated during the period the car has been without a test. You should also check for any signs of fluid leaks or perished rubber components consistent with high-mileage usage.
