2011 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Diesel · HK60 ACY

Recurring advisories regarding oil leaks and steering components present the primary mechanical concerns for this vehicle, as evidenced by the most recent pass on 29 October 2025. While the car has maintained a consistent pass record since 2018, the technical data shows a persistent pattern of oil seepage, specifically involving the fuel pump and the turbo intercooler. Furthermore, the most recent inspection introduced a new advisory concerning potential noise from the steering universal joint or steering rack, adding to a history of component wear that includes recurring windscreen damage and tyre degradation. The recorded mileage of 129,696 miles over approximately 15 years indicates a usage pattern of roughly 8,646 miles per year, which is consistent with typical long-term driving. This moderate annual accumulation suggests that while the vehicle has not been subjected to extreme high-mileage stress, the components are at an age where rubber perishability and structural corrosion become more prevalent. The steady mileage progression aligns with the gradual appearance of advisories related to tyre sidewall cracking and subframe corrosion seen in previous years. Prospective buyers should pay close attention to the steering and drivetrain during a test drive to address the specific advisories noted in the 2025 record. Listen for any knocking, clicking, or groaning sounds when turning the steering wheel at low speeds or when navigating uneven surfaces, which could indicate the reported steering u.j. or rack issues. Additionally, monitor the engine bay for signs of fresh oil misting or pooling, particularly around the turbo intercooler and fuel pump areas, to determine if the recorded leaks have progressed beyond the levels noted in the official MOT history. The structural and braking history also warrants physical inspection. The 2021 record highlighted corrosion on the front subframe, so the underside should be checked for any signs of advancing surface rust or structural thinning. Regarding the braking system, the history of pitted and scored discs, alongside reports of brake fluctuation, means the driver should feel for any pedal judder or uneven braking performance during deceleration. Finally, inspect the offside rear tyre for any signs of sidewall perishing or cracking, as this has been a recurring advisory in recent years.
