1992 Honda CBR900RR 0.9L Petrol · J176 FWP

The 1992 Honda CBR900RR presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 12 September 2025 at 34,038 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken clean run across the last three annual examinations. Mileage sits at 34,038 miles against 34 years of age, an average of roughly 1,000 miles per year. The records show only 347 miles added between October 2023 (33,260) and October 2024 (33,691), then 347 miles again to September 2025 (34,038). Such low, consistent accumulation points to light use and likely extended standing periods rather than active daily riding. The three-entry history is sparse but entirely clean, with no advisories or failures logged at any point. A buyer should still inspect the machine in person for age-related issues the MOT does not capture. Long stationary spells invite perished suspension bushes, degraded fork seals, and flat-spotted tyres even when tread remains legal. The tester recorded no corrosion or structural concerns, yet a 1992 frame demands a close check for rust at weld points and around the swinging arm pivot. Brake calipers and discs should be examined for binding or pitting after years of low use. The drivetrain, including chain and sprockets, needs hands-on assessment for stiff links or wear from infrequent lubrication. The clean record implies a careful keeper, but low mileage alone does not certify mechanical freshness on a bike of this vintage.
