2020 MINI John Cooper Works 2.0L Petrol · J55 WAD

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with four consecutive MOT tests resulting in passes without a single defect or advisory recorded. This trend of stability is confirmed by the most recent inspection on 22 December 2025, with the history showing a pattern of tests being conducted well in advance of their expiry dates. The recorded mileage of 47,282 miles represents a typical usage pattern for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 7,880 miles per year. This steady accumulation suggests the vehicle has been used regularly rather than suffering from the degradation associated with long periods of standing or the accelerated wear on drivetrain and suspension components common in high-mileage examples. Because the MOT history is devoid of advisories, there are no specific recurring failures or structural concerns to monitor. A test drive should therefore focus on verifying that the current mechanical state aligns with this clean record. Particular attention should be paid to the operation of the braking system and the stability of the steering to ensure no new wear has developed since the December 2025 inspection. Attention should also be given to the suspension and chassis during the road test. Listen for any knocks or rattles over uneven surfaces and check for any steering pull, as these would be the primary indicators of suspension bush or linkage wear that had not been present during previous tests. Verifying the smooth operation of the drivetrain under load will complete the assessment of the vehicle's current roadworthiness.
