2016 Citroen C4 1.6L Diesel · J6 DVL

The 2016 Citroen C4 presents a stable and clean roadworthiness profile. The most recent test on 29 August 2025 at 110,320 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and this follows four consecutive annual passes with zero advisories. The maintenance trend shows no worsening faults, recurring defects, or unresolved mechanical concerns across the available history. Annual mileage averages 11,032 against the vehicle's ten-year life, which sits within typical use for a car of this age. The records show steady accumulation: 80,980 miles in August 2021, rising to 91,725 by August 2022, 97,923 by August 2023, 104,225 by August 2024, and 110,320 by August 2025. No gaps exist between tests and no year shows abnormal jumps, so the data implies consistent private or light fleet use with routine MOT compliance. Because the DVSA record flags no advisories on suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, calipers, exhaust emissions, or structural corrosion, the history gives no direct evidence of impending wear items. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of the underbody for hidden rust and check the condition of tyres, wiper blades, and fluid levels, as these consumables fall outside MOT fault reporting once past the test date. The clean five-year test sequence suggests previous owners kept basic statutory upkeep current rather than deferring repairs. Given the car is now roughly eleven months past its last test, the buyer must arrange a fresh MOT and a pre-purchase mechanical check before committing, since the absence of historical faults offers no guarantee on components tested only annually.
