1992 Rover 216 1.6L Petrol · J948 CVJ

The Rover 216 presents a stable roadworthiness status based on its most recent DVLA MOT test. On 26 November 2021 the vehicle passed at 47,647 miles with no defects recorded, and no advisories or failures appear in the supplied history. The maintenance trend shows no deterioration across the available record. The odometer read 47,647 miles at the November 2021 test. Against a 1992 build date this equates to roughly 1,401 miles per year, a low figure for a 34-year-old car. The single entry gives no evidence of rapid accumulation or sudden gaps, though the absence of earlier tests in the supplied data leaves the intervening years unverified. Low use of this kind often means long stationary periods rather than steady running. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection before purchase. Standing time promotes perished rubber components, seized suspension bushes, and structural corrosion beneath sills and subframes even where the MOT showed a clean pass. The tester recorded no brake, exhaust, or emissions faults, yet four years have passed since that test and the car has likely seen little movement. Check the brake discs for face rust and the calipers for binding after storage. Inspect coil springs and steering joints for age-related cracking. Confirm the tyres retain legal tread and have not suffered sidewall degradation from disuse since the 2021 certificate.
