1991 Kawasaki ZXR750R 0.7L Petrol · J975 CAH

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this motorcycle, culminating in a clean pass on 15 July 2026 with no defects or advisories. The history shows a stable mechanical trajectory, with previous minor issues regarding lighting and braking being resolved or no longer present, suggesting the vehicle is currently in a high state of compliance with DVSA standards. The recorded mileage of 22,225 miles is exceptionally low for a vehicle of this vintage, averaging approximately 635 miles per year over its 35-year lifespan. Such a low rate of accumulation typically indicates long periods of inactivity rather than consistent mechanical wear. Mechanically, this usage pattern shifts the focus from drivetrain fatigue to the potential degradation of rubber components and the risk of stiction in moving parts due to prolonged standing. Attention should be directed toward the braking system, specifically the front calipers, which were noted for binding during the October 2023 inspection. While the most recent test was clean, a prospective buyer should verify that the front wheel spins freely when the brake lever is released and that there is no excessive heat buildup in the calipers after a short ride. Any hesitation in the lever return or a spongy feel would indicate that the previous binding issue persists or that the hydraulic system requires servicing. Given the age and low usage, a physical inspection should focus on the integrity of the seals and the operation of the lighting circuits, following the previous failure of the registration plate lamp. During a test drive, listen for any abnormal noises from the suspension linkages and ensure the steering head is smooth and free of notches, as these areas are prone to seizing when a motorcycle is not used frequently.
