2022 Cupra Born V2 EV Electric · J9 PPU

The vehicle remains roadworthy based on its most recent MOT, which was passed on 2025-07-16 at 33,202 miles with no defects recorded. No prior tests are available, so the maintenance trend cannot be definitively assessed. However, the absence of recorded issues in the latest inspection suggests the car has not developed critical faults in its current ownership cycle. The mileage of 33,202 miles aligns with an average annual usage of 8,300 miles, which is typical for a four-year-old vehicle. The MOT was conducted exactly one year before the current date, leaving a gap in recorded inspections that may indicate either consistent maintenance or a lack of recent checks. The sparse MOT history limits insight into long-term wear patterns, though the clean result at the last test implies no immediate mechanical concerns. A buyer should verify the battery’s condition and charging system, as these are critical for electric vehicles and not covered by MOT tests. Inspect the suspension components for wear, particularly given the vehicle’s age, and check brake discs and calipers for uneven wear or corrosion. Structural integrity should also be assessed, as rust or damage is not flagged in the MOT but could affect long-term reliability. A pre-purchase inspection by a qualified technician is recommended to confirm the vehicle’s overall health.
