2007 Honda Civic 1.8L Petrol · JC07 AGC

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a clean result in its most recent inspection. The MOT test conducted in April 2022 at 53,611 miles resulted in a pass with no recorded defects, indicating that the car met all safety standards at that time. While a failure was noted in May 2021, the immediate rectification on the same day suggests that identified issues were addressed promptly rather than allowed to persist or deteriorate. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 19-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 2,822 miles per year. Between August 2019 at 37,445 miles and April 2022 at 53,611 miles, the car covered 16,166 miles over nearly three years. This low rate of use typically implies less wear on the drivetrain, engine, and gearbox compared to average examples. However, such long periods between drives can lead to the degradation of rubber-based components and fluid breakdown, which are not fully captured by mileage alone. A buyer should conduct a physical inspection focused on areas most susceptible to low-mileage, older-vehicle neglect. Given the age of the 2007 chassis, a close examination of structural integrity for corrosion on the sills, wheel arches, and underbody is mandatory. The suspension system should be checked for perished rubber bushes and seized shock artwork, which often occur over time irrespective of distance. Additionally, the tyres should be inspected for flat spotting or sidew cracking, as low mileage often masks the age-related hardening of the rubber. Checking the brake discs for surface pitting or corrosion will also Ensure the braking system has not suffered due to the car sitting for extended periods.
