2012 Honda Jazz I-Vtec ES CVT 1.3L Petrol · JFZ 1462

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness with no defects recorded across five consecutive MOT tests from 2021 to 2025. The most recent 2025-08-26 test at 41,496 miles confirmed compliance, with no advisories or failures. All prior tests, including the 2024-08-12 (38,840 miles) and 2023-07-17 (36,858 miles) assessments, also showed clean results. This consistent pass rate suggests the previous owner maintained the vehicle to meet legal standards, with no emerging mechanical or structural issues requiring immediate attention. The mileage of 41,496 miles over 14 years equates to an average of 2,964 miles annually, significantly below the UK’s typical annual average. Notable gaps between tests, such as the 17-month interval between 2021-03-15 (32,081 miles) and 2022-08-16 (35,099 miles), indicate periods of reduced usage or potential storage. The 2024-08-12 test showed a sharp 3,741-mile increase in 12 months, which may reflect resumed activity but remains within reasonable limits. The absence of corrosion, exhaust emissions, or structural defects in the record suggests the vehicle was not exposed to extreme environmental stressors during inactivity. A buyer should inspect the suspension system for aged bushes or coil springs, as low mileage can mask wear from prolonged static periods. Check the exhaust system for internal corrosion, which may develop without regular use. Verify the condition of tyres and battery, as infrequent driving can lead to dry rot or charge depletion. While no brake-related issues were flagged, a physical inspection of brake discs and calipers is advisable to confirm there is no hidden binding or uneven wear. The CVT transmission, though not tested for fluid condition in the MOT, warrants scrutiny for signs of degradation, particularly if the vehicle was stored for extended periods.
