2015 Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6L Diesel · JH04 MDH

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2025-11-18 at 153,618 miles recorded a pass with no defects, indicating a stable maintenance trend. However, a prior failure on 2024-08-14 at 138,943 miles—despite no defects being noted—suggests potential procedural inconsistencies or minor issues unresolved. The subsequent pass on 2024-08-23 at 138,945 miles implies corrective action was taken, though the lack of defect details limits definitive assessment. Overall, the record shows no critical failures in the last three years, but the abrupt failure without recorded faults raises questions about the reliability of the testing process. The vehicle’s mileage of 153,618 miles at 11 years old equates to approximately 13,965 miles annually, exceeding typical averages and accelerating wear on components. A significant jump from 131,821 miles in 2023 to 138,945 miles by 2024 suggests rapid usage, potentially stressing brakes, suspension, and drivetrain elements. The sparse MOT history—only five tests over 11 years—limits insight into long-term maintenance patterns. While no major defects are documented, the high mileage warrants scrutiny of wear on consumables and structural integrity, particularly given the absence of detailed failure reports. A buyer should prioritize inspecting the suspension system for worn bushes or coil springs, which may degrade under high-mileage use. Brake components, including discs and calipers, should be checked for uneven wear or binding, as high usage can exacerbate these issues. Corrosion, especially in underbody areas, is another concern given the vehicle’s age and mileage. Despite the MOT record’s lack of defects, the high annual mileage and limited testing frequency mean hidden wear could exist, necessitating a thorough mechanical examination before purchase.
