2009 Toyota Auris SR D-4D 2.0L Heavy oil · JIG 4176

The 2009 Toyota Auris SR D-4D demonstrates stable roadworthiness based on its most recent MOT on 2025-02-11 at 173,677 miles, which passed with no defects. Previous tests in 2023 and 2022 also showed no issues, indicating consistent maintenance. No recurring mechanical or structural faults were flagged, and the vehicle’s compliance with safety standards appears unbroken. The absence of advisories or failures suggests the owner prioritized regular servicing, though the lack of recent testing beyond early 2025 leaves a gap in verifying current condition. The mileage progression shows steady usage, averaging 10,216 miles annually over 17 years. The 160,478-mile test in 2022 to 173,677 miles in 2025 spans 13,200 miles across 14 months, reflecting typical driving patterns. No abrupt spikes or extended inactivity periods are evident, which reduces risk of hidden wear from neglect. However, the 17-month gap between the 2023 and 2025 tests may indicate delayed maintenance, though no defects arose from this interval. A buyer should verify the vehicle’s suspension components, particularly bushes and coil springs, given the age and mileage. Brake systems, including discs and calipers, should be inspected for corrosion or uneven wear, as these often degrade over time. While no structural rust or emission issues were recorded, a physical check of the exhaust system and underbody is advisable to confirm the absence of hidden damage. The clean MOT history suggests responsible ownership, but a pre-purchase inspection remains critical to assess wear not captured in recorded tests.
