2012 BMW 116 2.0L Diesel · JK12 GER

The most recent MOT on 10 June 2022 at 116,878 miles recorded a pass with no defects, indicating the vehicle met statutory requirements at that time. No further tests appear in the record, so the maintenance trend cannot be confirmed beyond that date; the last known condition was stable. At 116,878 miles after 14 years, the average annual mileage is about 8,300 miles, which aligns with typical usage for a car of this age. The MOT log shows no spikes or gaps that would suggest periods of intensive use or prolonged inactivity, implying a relatively consistent usage pattern. A prospective buyer should obtain a current MOT or arrange a comprehensive pre‑purchase inspection, concentrating on components that naturally degrade with time and mileage. Inspect brake discs and pads for wear or uneven scoring, verify that suspension bushings and coil springs are free of excessive play or corrosion, and examine tyre tread depth and sidewall condition. Check for any emerging structural rust on wheel arches, sills, and chassis, and confirm that exhaust emissions remain within legal limits. Confirm that the vehicle has been serviced regularly; the absence of recorded advisories suggests prior owners may have kept the car in good order, but the four‑year gap since the last MOT warrants scrutiny of fluid levels, battery health, and electronic systems.
