2016 Audi A6 2.0L Diesel · JO02 HEY

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status following a pass on October 18, 2025, 66,200 miles. While the most recent result indicates no defects, the maintenance history reveals a pattern of inconsistency regarding roadworthiness compliance. The car underwent two separate failures within a nine-month period before finally achieving a pass, suggesting that the owner only addressed mechanical or safety issues when forced to do by the MOT test results rather than following a preventative maintenance schedule. The mileage profile is consistent with a low-mileage executive car, averaging approximately 6,600 miles per year. Between January 14, 2025, and July 1, 2025, the vehicle covered 3,961 miles in just five months, indicating a recent spike in usage compared to its historical average. While low total mileage generally reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine, long periods of standing can lead to degradation of rubber-based components, such as suspension bushes and brake hoses, which may explain the intermittent failures seen earlier in the test year. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection to identify what specific faults caused the 2025 failures, as the record does not list the individual mechanical defects. Particular attention should be paid to the suspension geometry for signs of play or perished bushings, which are common on Audi models of this era. Given the age of the vehicle, check the brake system for binding calipers or corrosion on the discs, as the reactive repair history suggests that components may have been run until the point of functional failure.
