2011 BMW X1 2.0L Diesel · JO05 JOE

The 2011 BMW X1 holds a valid roadworthiness pass from its 25 March 2026 test at 98,825 miles, with the tester recording no defects. The maintenance trend is stable across the three-year record, showing no mechanical advisories or component failures. Prior to that pass, the vehicle failed the 24 March 2026 test at 98,823 miles yet again with no defects logged, mirroring an identical fail-pass sequence on 20 and 21 March 2025 at 91,938 miles. This repeated pattern of administrative-style failures absent any flagged faults suggests the previous owner resolved non-mechanical compliance matters swiftly rather than neglected upkeep. Mileage accumulation aligns with typical use for a fifteen-year-old vehicle. The odometer advanced from 85,709 miles at the 12 March 2024 pass to 91,938 miles by the 21 March 2025 test, a gain of 6,229 miles over twelve months. By the March 2026 tests it reached 98,825 miles, adding 6,887 miles across the year. Such consistent annual distances near the 6,588-mile average indicate gentle touring rather than harsh high-load cycling. The supplied history is sparse, comprising only five entries, yet each lacks recorded wear items or corrosion concerns. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of age-sensitive structures and running gear that MOT summaries may omit. Examine front suspension bushes and rear coil springs for fatigue, measure brake disc thickness and caliper operation, and probe sills and subframe for corrosion. The X1's age and 98,825 miles make steering linkage play and exhaust emissions integrity worthy of verification. The unexplained no-defect failures warrant a DVSA certificate check to confirm whether they stemmed from documentation rather than latent faults.
