2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 1.5L Diesel · K18 HAJ

This vehicle demonstrates an exemplary record of roadworthiness, having maintained a completely clean MOT history with no defects or advisories recorded across five consecutive annual inspections. This trend of stability is confirmed by the most recent pass on 4 February 2026, indicating that the car has consistently met DVSA standards without requiring any remedial work on its safety-critical components. The recorded mileage of 26,087 miles is significantly low for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 3,261 miles per year. Such a low accumulation rate suggests the vehicle has been used sparingly, which typically results in minimal mechanical wear on the engine, gearbox, and suspension bushings. There are no gaps in the testing history to suggest prolonged periods of total inactivity, meaning the low mileage is likely a result of infrequent usage rather than long-term storage. Since the MOT history is devoid of failures or advisories, the mechanical focus shifts to the physical verification of wear-and-tear items that may not trigger a failure but affect performance. During a test drive, pay close attention to the brake pedal feel for any softness or vibration, and ensure the steering is centered and free from pull, confirming the continued integrity of the alignment and suspension. A thorough visual inspection of the underbody should be conducted to ensure no new corrosion has developed since the February inspection. Listen for any unusual knocks or clunks from the suspension when traversing uneven surfaces and check for any oil misting around the engine bay. Given the lack of historical defects, the vehicle presents as a mechanically sound example, provided the current physical condition aligns with the clean DVSA record.
