The most recent MOT on 2025-06-04 showed minor issues including a front headlamp lens with a product affecting light output, a rear exhaust leak, a damaged offside front mirror, a deteriorated rear registration plate, and a damaged nearside rear seat belt stalk. These were all classified as non-urgent or minor defects. The vehicle had 159,941 miles, matching its age of 19 years, with an average annual mileage of 8,418 miles—typical for this era. Recurring mechanical patterns include corrosion in suspension components (e.g., rear suspension mounting, front subframe, rear coil springs) and headlamp lens issues. Brake-related defects also appear, such as thin front brake pads (2022), a worn nearside front brake disc (2024), and a corroded rear brake pipe (2021). These suggest gradual wear on braking systems and exposure to environmental factors. However, no major safety-critical failures were recorded in the latest MOT. The trend shows some consistency in minor issues but no clear acceleration of deterioration. Corrosion and headlamp defects reappeared across multiple years, indicating potential long-term exposure to moisture or road salts. Brake components showed progressive wear, but all were addressed within the MOT pass criteria.
