2012 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6L Petrol · KP12 AMO

The 2012 Vauxhall Zafira’s most recent MOT on 2025-12-15 at 67,345 miles recorded a pass with no defects, but an earlier failure on the same date suggests administrative inconsistency. The 2024-12-28 test at 61,444 miles was a pass with no defects, while the 2024-12-14 test at 61,443 miles failed without recorded issues. The 2023-11-16 test at 55,323 miles also passed with no defects. Overall, the maintenance trend shows stability, with no recurring mechanical or structural faults flagged across three consecutive annual tests. The absence of defects in the last two tests implies the vehicle has been maintained to meet legal standards, though the repeated failures without recorded issues raise questions about test accuracy or minor compliance oversights. The vehicle’s mileage of 67,345 miles over 14 years equates to approximately 4,810 miles annually, significantly lower than average. This suggests either infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity, which can accelerate corrosion and degrade components like rubber seals and fluids. The MOT history shows consistent annual testing, with no gaps exceeding 12 months, indicating a responsible approach to regulatory compliance. However, the lack of defects in all tests, despite the low mileage, may reflect either meticulous upkeep or limited exposure to wear. A buyer should inspect the suspension system for aged bushes and coil springs, common issues in 14-year-old vehicles, and check for corrosion in the underbody and wheel arches. The brake system, including discs and calipers, should be examined for uneven wear or binding, as low mileage can mask gradual degradation. While the MOT records show no structural faults, the car’s age necessitates a thorough check of the exhaust system for leaks and the electrical components for reliability. The absence of recorded defects is positive, but the vehicle’s history warrants a professional inspection to confirm its mechanical integrity.
