2009 Vauxhall Astra 1.8L Petrol · KP58 KGZ

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the most recent inspection data. The final MOT test conducted on June 6, 2023, at 100,863 miles passed with no defects recorded, indicating that the car met all safety and emissions standards at that time. While the history shows failures in 2021 and 2022, the owner has successfully addressed the necessary repairs to achieve clean passes in subsequent tests. The mileage pattern is notably low for a 17-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 5,933 miles per year. There is a significant gap in records between the February 2021 test at 80,193 miles and the March 2022 test at 91,133 miles, where the car covered over 11,000 miles in just one year. However, usage has slowed considerably since, with only 9,730 miles recorded in the three years following the last test. This low annual mileage suggests light use but also carries the risk of dehydrated rubber components and brake corrosion if the vehicle sits for extended periods. A buyer should conduct a thorough physical inspection of structural integrity, specifically checking the sills and rear suspension mounting points for corrosion which is common on this Astra generation. Given the low mileage, inspect the condition of rubber bushes and tyres which may have perished or cracked despite having tread depth. Since the last recorded MOT was over three years ago as of June 2026, the buyer must verify the brake discs for pitting and ensure no new mechanical leaks have developed during the long interval between official testing.
