2021 Hyundai Kona Electric · KW70 AEB

The Hyundai Kona presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 2 January 2026 at 83,951 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of clean results across the available history. Mileage accumulation runs high for a 2021 vehicle. The records show 49,425 miles at the 14 February 2024 test, rising to 67,162 miles by 14 February 2025 and 83,951 miles by 2 January 2026. That equates to roughly 16,800 miles per year, well above typical private-use averages, with the largest single-year jump of 17,789 miles occurring between early 2025 and the January 2026 test. The three annual tests are evenly spaced and each passed without advisories, so the data is sparse but clean. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of consumable and high-wear components given the elevated annual mileage. No tester flagged suspension bushes, brake discs, coil springs, binding calipers, or structural corrosion in any entry, yet such items degrade silently between tests under sustained motorway use. Verify remaining tyre tread depth, brake pad thickness, and drivetrain oil condition against the 83,951-mile figure. The absence of recorded faults implies the previous keeper maintained the car to minimum legal standard at each test point. Without interim service evidence, treat the clean MOT sheet as a snapshot rather than proof of ongoing care across the 34,526 miles covered since February 2024.
