2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 3.0L Diesel · KX67 MVW

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 13 January 2026 at 107,455 miles passed with no defects recorded, and the four prior annual tests from June 2022 to June 2025 likewise returned clean passes. No advisories or mechanical faults appear anywhere in the DVLA record, indicating the vehicle has not required rectification work within the test cycle. Mileage progression shows a clean and consistent pattern for a nine-year-old executive saloon. The car covered 51,170 miles by 14 June 2022, then jumped to 83,535 miles at the 13 June 2023 test, implying roughly 32,000 miles in that single year. Accumulation eased thereafter: 95,197 miles in June 2024, 106,791 in June 2025, and 107,455 in January 2026. The annual average of about 11,900 miles sits within typical bounds, though the 2022 to 2023 spike suggests a period of heavy commuting or motorway use under the prior owner. The absence of recorded advisories on suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, or structural corrosion means the MOT history alone raises no red flags. A clean pass sheet does not certify component condition between tests, however. The buyer should still commission an independent inspection of the air suspension system common to this model, check brake caliper operation for any binding, and examine underside subframes for corrosion given the vehicle's age. Given the fault-free record and modest recent use, previous ownership appears disciplined about statutory testing and likely addressed wear outside the MOT window. Verify service history matches the mileage gaps, particularly around the 2022 to 2023 high-use period, before completion.
