A consistently clean MOT record across five consecutive annual tests suggests the vehicle has not presented any roadworthiness failures to the DVSA, with the latest pass recorded on 25 March 2026 confirming no defects at that inspection. The odometer reads 23 685 miles for a 2019 model, equating to roughly 3 400 miles per year – markedly below the average utilisation for a seven‑year‑old car. The MOT history shows no gaps, indicating the mileage has been logged each year; such low annual accumulation typically translates to reduced wear on high‑frequency components such as brake pads, clutch discs and tyre tread, though it may also imply periods of limited use that can affect rubber elasticity and battery health. Given the absence of recorded defects, the buyer should still scrutinise the usual wear points that are not captured by MOT checks. On a test drive, listen for any clunking or knocking when traversing uneven surfaces, which could reveal deteriorating suspension bushes or worn ball joints. Assess steering response for any pull to one side or excessive vibration, and verify that the brake pedal feels firm without pulsation, indicating healthy discs and pads. Visual inspection of tyre tread depth and uniformity, as well as checking for any signs of oil or coolant leaks around the engine bay and under the chassis, will further confirm the car’s condition. A comprehensive pre‑purchase inspection should also include a check of the exhaust system for cracks or excessive smoke, a review of the battery terminals for corrosion, and a functional test of all lighting and signalling devices. While the MOT record shows no formal advisories, confirming the integrity of these ancillary systems will provide a clearer picture of the vehicle’s overall mechanical health before finalising the purchase.
