2016 Volkswagen Touran 1.4L Petrol · LA65 OMJ

The 2016 Volkswagen Touran passed its MOT on 6 May 2026 at 42,371 miles with no defects recorded, confirming its present roadworthiness. The maintenance trend cannot be evaluated due to insufficient historical data, as this single test entry provides no insight into recurring issues or deterioration patterns. At approximately ten years old, the vehicle's recorded mileage of 42,371 miles yields an average of about 4,237 miles per year, which is low for its age. This suggests either consistently light use or extended periods of inactivity. Without preceding MOT mileages, any notable gaps in usage or rapid accumulation remain unverified. A buyer should conduct a thorough in-person inspection focusing on age-related vulnerabilities not always captured in a pass certificate. Prioritise checking suspension bushes and coil springs for perishing, rear brakes for binding calipers or disc corrosion, and the underbody for structural rust, particularly around mounting points. Low annual mileage may conceal such deterioration from lack of regular operation, even if consumables like tyres appear adequate.
