2016 Mazda CX-5 2.0L Petrol · LJ16 AAB

The vehicle demonstrates consistent roadworthiness with no recorded defects in its most recent MOT on 2026-03-06 at 91,303 miles. The absence of failures across all five consecutive annual tests, including the latest, confirms a stable maintenance trend. No advisories or safety-critical issues were flagged, indicating the previous owner prioritized regular servicing and adherence to regulatory standards. The 2026 test, conducted just four months ago, aligns with the vehicle’s typical annual inspection cycle, offering confidence in its current mechanical condition. The mileage progression from 66,880 miles in 2022 to 91,303 miles in 2026 reflects an average of 9,130 miles per year, consistent with the vehicle’s age and usage patterns. No significant gaps or abrupt mileage spikes are evident, suggesting steady, predictable usage. The MOT records are clean and unbroken, with no instances of failed tests or recurring issues. This pattern implies the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that meets legal requirements, though it does not confirm the quality of repairs or the thoroughness of non-MOT-related servicing. A buyer should verify the integrity of suspension components, particularly suspension bushes and coil springs, as these often degrade over time without triggering MOT failures. The absence of exhaust emission advisories is positive, but a visual inspection of the exhaust system for corrosion or leaks is recommended. Structural rust, especially on the chassis or underbody, should be checked, as it can develop in older vehicles without appearing in MOT records. Brake discs and calipers, while not flagged in tests, warrant scrutiny for uneven wear or binding, as these issues may emerge under dynamic conditions not assessed during static MOT checks.
