2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK 3.2L Petrol · LW03 KYV

The 2026‑07‑04 MOT at 111,978 miles recorded a clean pass with no defects, confirming that the vehicle remains roadworthy at the time of testing. The consecutive annual tests from 2022 through 2026 have all shown zero defects, indicating a stable maintenance record rather than a worsening or improving trend. At 23 years old, the CLK’s recorded mileage of 111,978 equates to roughly 4,869 miles per year, a figure well below the typical wear rate for a vehicle of this age. The mileage progression shows steady, incremental increases of about 2,000‑3,000 miles per year between 2021 and 2026, with no abrupt jumps or long periods of inactivity evident in the DVSA log. Recurring observations in earlier records include light misting of oil from the off‑side front shock absorbers, slight discolouration of the off‑side rear direction indicator, and deterioration of the off‑side front mirror and headlamps. The lower suspension arm rubber bushes have repeatedly been noted for excessive movement, and the windscreen wipers have shown reduced clearing efficiency. These items suggest that suspension components, brake calipers and structural elements merit close inspection. A buyer should therefore examine the condition of the front shock absorbers and associated mounting points, verify the integrity of the lower suspension arm bushes and coil springs, test the rear brakes for binding or uneven wear, and assess the chassis and exhaust for corrosion. Particular attention to the condition of the mirrors, headlamp lenses and wiper blades is advisable, as past failures in these areas indicate potential neglect of lighting and visibility systems.
