2014 Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6L Diesel · M16 BBO

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness with no defects recorded in its last three MOT tests, including the most recent 2025-08-30 assessment at 118,813 miles. All prior tests from 2021 to 2024 also showed passing results with no recorded issues, indicating consistent maintenance and no emerging mechanical concerns. The absence of advisories or failures suggests the vehicle has been well-maintained relative to its age and mileage. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a 12-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 9,901 miles annually. A notable gap between the 2021-06-08 test (87,053 miles) and 2022-06-28 test (102,172 miles) reflects a 15,119-mile increase in one year, which could indicate periods of heavy use or potential odometer discrepancies. However, the subsequent tests show steady progression without irregularities, supporting the conclusion of stable operation. While no specific faults are documented, the Vauxhall VivaRo’s age and mileage warrant scrutiny of common wear points. Inspect suspension components, particularly rear coil springs and bushings, which are prone to degradation in this model. Check for exhaust system corrosion, as underbody rust is a known issue in older vans. Additionally, verify brake disc thickness and caliper functionality, as these can degrade over time without immediate MOT failures. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on these areas to confirm continued safety and reliability.
