2015 Audi A1 1.6L Diesel · MD64 DWK

The Audi A1 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent DVSA test on 30 May 2025 at 55,584 miles returning a pass with no defects recorded. Across the available history from June 2022, the vehicle cleared every annual examination without advisories, indicating consistent upkeep. The solitary failure logged on 10 June 2022 at 31,225 miles was followed by a pass on the same day, also with no defects noted, suggesting a minor administrative or rectification turnaround rather than a mechanical fault. Mileage accumulation sits low for an eleven-year-old hatchback. The odometer advanced from 31,225 miles at the June 2022 test to 41,645 by 7 June 2023, then 47,944 on 1 June 2024, reaching 55,584 at the May 2025 test. That equates to roughly five thousand miles per year, with no abrupt jumps or missed test windows. Such gentle use implies lighter wear on drivetrain components, though the pattern may also reflect extended standing periods between journeys. The clean annual pass record points to previous keepers adhering to scheduled maintenance. No recurring defects appear in the official record, so the buyer faces no flagged structural or mechanical risks from prior tests. The absence of advisories on suspension, brakes, exhaust emissions or corrosion points to a car that met standards each time. Still, low mileage vehicles of this age can conceal perished rubber suspension bushes, slight binding in calipers or surface rust on brake discs through inactivity. A pre-purchase inspection should physically confirm underbody structural integrity, check coil springs and suspension bushes for cracking, and assess brake discs for corrosion pitting. Verify tyre sidewalls for age-related crazing and ensure the exhaust emissions remain clean under load. The documented history supports a favourable verdict, but hands-on checks remain prudent given the car's low annual use.
