2020 Vauxhall Combo Life Energy S/S Auto 1.2L Petrol · MD69 VUH

The Vauxhall Combo Life presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent DVSA test on 24 September 2025 at 12,887 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken four-year sequence of clean results. No advisories appeared at any stage, which indicates the previous keeper addressed consumable wear before each test rather than letting minor faults accumulate. Mileage data shows exceptionally light use for a six-year-old vehicle. The record opened at 7,797 miles on 21 December 2022 and closed at 12,887 miles by September 2025, giving an average annual gain of roughly 2,148 miles. The longest gap fell between the December 2022 and November 2023 tests, yet only 1,957 miles were added; the car then covered 2,025 miles to September 2024 and 1,108 miles to September 2025. Such low totals suggest prolonged standing periods, though the clean test history argues against neglect of statutory checks. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection focused on components that suffer from disuse rather than mileage. Standing vehicles commonly develop flat-spotted tyres, perished rubber suspension bushes, and surface corrosion on brake discs or underbody members even when MOT results stay clear. The automatic gearbox and 1.2 petrol stop-start unit also benefit from a fluid condition check given the infrequent running cycles. No recurring mechanical or structural faults emerge from the supplied record, so the verdict rests on confirming present condition rather than correcting past defects. Prior owner behaviour appears disciplined on statutory maintenance, but low mileage alone does not certify drivetrain health. A pre-purchase inspection remains prudent.
