2021 Vauxhall Movano 2.3L Diesel · MM71 FJX

The Vauxhall Movano has passed its most recent MOT test on 2026-04-07 with no defects recorded, indicating a clean roadworthiness status at that point. Given the sparse history—only a single test in the past four months—there is no established trend of recurring faults or worsening conditions. The absence of advisories or failings suggests the vehicle cleared all mandatory checks for brakes, emissions, steering, suspension, and structural integrity at 94,806 miles. However, the lack of prior tests means there is no historical context to assess whether earlier issues were resolved or if critical components like suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake calipers have been neglected over time. The recorded mileage of 94,806 miles over approximately five years equates to an average of nearly 19,000 miles annually, which is significantly higher than the UK average for a vehicle of this age. Such high annual mileage implies accelerated wear on consumable parts—tyres, brake pads, and clutch components—though the absence of MOT failings up to this point suggests these have been replaced or maintained proactively. The most recent test occurred just four months ago, which is within the standard MOT validity period, but the gap between tests means there is no recent verification of wear items like wiper blades, brake fluid condition, or tyre tread depth beyond the last inspection. Given the limited MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of high-wear components that are not always captured in a basic MOT. Focus on the suspension system—particularly rear bushes and coil springs—for signs of excessive play or corrosion, as these are common failure points on commercial vans of this age and mileage. The braking system warrants close scrutiny, including checking for uneven wear on discs, binding calipers, or excessive noise, as repeated high mileage can accelerate brake fade or warping. Additionally, inspect the exhaust system for leaks or rust penetration, especially around joints and mounting points, as corrosion in this area can compromise structural integrity and emissions compliance. The interior should be examined for fluid leaks, which could indicate failing seals or a deteriorating drivetrain. While the MOT record shows no recent issues, the lack of prior tests means some wear patterns may not have been formally documented.
