2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 2.1L Diesel · MS61 AKE

The vehicle presents a clean roadworthiness profile, maintaining a perfectly stable maintenance trend over the last five years. The most recent inspection on 7 March 2026 at 133,437 miles resulted in no recorded defects or advisories. This streak of clean passes across five consecutive annual tests suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a high standard, avoiding the accumulation of common mechanical failures or structural degradation. The mileage pattern indicates consistent, high-intensity usage, averaging approximately 13,300 miles per annum. Between the March 2022 test at 87,155 miles and the March 2026 test at 133,437 miles, the car covered 46,282 miles. This steady accumulation suggests the vehicle has heavily used regularly rather than sitting idle, which is generally beneficial for engine seals, suspension, and braking components. The intervals between tests are mathematically consistent, falling within a few days of the annual anniversary, reflecting a disciplined approach to legal vehicle compliance. While the MOT history shows no active faults, a buyer must focus their physical inspection on components subject to high mileage at the 133,000-mile mark. Given the consistent use, the suspension geometry should be checked for signs of worn bushes, leaking shock way, or collapsed vital springs which often fatigue at this age. The braking system should also be evaluated for thin discs or signs of binding calipers, as the MOT only catches these issues once they reach a failure threshold. Additionally, the vehicle should be inspected for any surface corrosion on the underbody, despite the lack of structural advisories in the record to date.
