2018 Vauxhall Grandland 1.2L Petrol · ND18 WHK

The 2018 Vauxhall Grandland presents a stable and unblemished maintenance trend, culminating in a clean pass on 18 August 2025 at 41,077 miles. The tester recorded zero defects, indicating all major structural and mechanical systems met the required standard at that time. This consistent record of passing without advisories suggests the vehicle has been kept in sound mechanical order, with no recurring faults to indicate a worsening or deteriorating condition. The vehicle has covered roughly 41,077 miles over eight years, averaging approximately 5,135 miles annually, which is notably low for its age. The annual mileage accumulation remains steady rather than erratic, progressing from 18,298 miles in July 2021 to 21,326 miles in July 2022, then 29,409 miles in August 2023, 37,180 miles in August 2024, and finally 41,077 miles in August 2025. This equates to a consistent yearly increase of between 5,000 and 8,000 miles, with no sudden spikes or prolonged gaps in testing that might suggest the car stood stationary for extended periods. Despite the flawless MOT record, a low annual mileage of 5,135 miles means the vehicle's components are subject to age-related deterioration as much as wear. A buyer should inspect the condition of the tyres thoroughly, checking the sidewall date codes and tread depth, as rubber perishes over time regardless of use. The braking system warrants close scrutiny; low-mileage vehicles often suffer from corrosion on brake discs and binding calipers caused by short trips that fail to generate enough heat to clear moisture. Suspension bushes and coil springs should be checked for cracking and sagging, while the exhaust system requires inspection for rust, particularly around welds and mounting points, given the potential for short-journey condensation to accelerate internal corrosion.
