2001 SEAT Leon 1.8L Petrol · NK51 ACU

The vehicle is currently not in a verified roadworthy state as the last MOT test dates back to October 2021. While the car passed that inspection at 8,513 miles without any recorded defects or advisories, the certificate expired nearly five years ago. There is no current data to confirm the mechanical stability or safety of the vehicle since late 2021. The recorded mileage is exceptionally low for a 25 year old vehicle, averaging roughly 341 miles per year. The odometer remained at 8,513 miles during the October 2021 test, suggesting the car has seen very little use or has spent significant periods in long term storage. Such a pattern often indicates a preserved example, but it carries specific risks associated with vehicle dormancy. A buyer must prioritise a physical inspection of the braking system and rubber components. Long periods of standing often lead to binding calipers, perished brake hoses, and flat spots on tyres. The lack of recent testing means the current state of the brake discs and fluid is unknown. Attention should also be paid to the fuel system and structural integrity. Old fuel can degrade and clog injectors or pumps if the car has sat idle since 2021. Given the age of the chassis, a thorough check for corrosion on the sills and suspension mounting points is essential, as rust can progress even when a vehicle is not being driven.
