2012 Land Rover Freelander 2.2L Diesel · OW12 OWY

This vehicle presents an exceptionally stable roadworthiness profile. The most recent MOT test on 7 November 2025 at 77,075 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This clean bill of health follows a consistent five year trend of passing without a single recorded failure or advisory, suggesting a high standard of preventative maintenance. The mileage is notably low for a 2012 model, averaging roughly 5,505 miles per year. The accumulation has remained steady over the last five years, growing from 58,332 miles in November 2021 to 77,075 miles by November 2025. There are no erratic jumps in mileage or suspicious gaps that would suggest undisclosed heavy use or prolonged periods of stagnation. While the MOT history is flawless, the low annual mileage and the age of the vehicle necessitate a physical check of rubber components. You should inspect the tyres and suspension bushes for perishing or dry rot, as these degrade over time regardless of distance travelled. Check the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting, which often occurs when a vehicle spends more time parked than driven. Confirm the service history aligns with this clean MOT record. Because the DVSA tests did not flag any issues with the exhaust emissions or structural integrity, the primary focus should be on fluid condition and the health of the drivetrain. A physical inspection should verify that the lack of MOT advisories reflects genuine mechanical care rather than a lenient testing regime.
