The vehicle's most recent MOT record from 9 May 2022 shows a clean pass with no recorded defects or advisories. This indicates a stable maintenance status at the time of testing, showing no immediate issues with structural integrity, braking systems, or lighting. However, the absence of any data between May 2022 and the current date of 25 July 2026 creates a significant documentation gap. The recorded mileage of 20,034 miles is exceptionally low for a 30-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 668 miles per year. While this suggests minimal mechanical wear on the engine and drivetrain, such low usage often implies the motorcycle has spent long periods stationary. Vehicles that sit for extended durations are prone to specific issues such as perished rubber seals, seized calipers, or degraded fuel systems that an MOT test may not fully capture. A prospective buyer should conduct a thorough physical inspection to address the risks associated with low-mileage, long-term storage. Focus specifically on the condition of the tyres for age-related cracking, the integrity of all suspension seals, and the state of the brake fluid. Given the lack of recent testing, checking for corrosion on the frame and ensuring the battery and electrical connections are sound is essential to confirm the vehicle is truly roadworthy.
