2006 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · P62 LOW

This vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a clean bill of health in its most recent inspection. The test on 2 July 2025 at 99,385 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent pattern over the last three years where the car has passed its annual checks without any flagged mechanical or structural failures. The mileage is notably low for a twenty year old vehicle, averaging under 5,000 miles per year. Between 3 July 2023 at 94,600 miles and 2 July 2025 at 99,385 miles, the car covered only 4,785 miles. Such low usage suggests the vehicle has spent significant time stationary or has been used for very short journeys, which can sometimes mask deterioration in rubber components or lead to battery degradation. The absence of advisories across the 2023, 2024, and 2025 tests is unusual for a vehicle of this age. While the record shows no recurring faults with suspension bushes, brake discs, or exhaust emissions, a buyer should still physically inspect the underbody for corrosion. Structural rust often develops on older Japanese hatchbacks regardless of mileage, and the lack of MOT advisories does not always guarantee the absence of surface oxidation on the chassis or sills. Check for signs of perished tyres or leaking shock absorbers during a physical inspection. Vehicles that sit for long periods often develop flat spots on tyres or suffer from seized brake calipers. Verify that the engine oil and coolant are clean, as low-mileage cars frequently suffer from sludge buildup if the service intervals were extended based on distance rather than time.
