2005 Toyota Yaris 1.3L Petrol · PF54 KYN

The vehicle currently holds a valid MOT record from the 2026 test, demonstrating that the maintenance trend is stable. This recent pass confirms that the vehicle has been maintained consistently since 2023, with the most recent test occurring at 47,149 miles. The record is clean in terms of defects, showing no signs of structural integrity loss or corrosion, which indicates a generally sound mechanical profile for a 2005 model year. The mileage accumulation is relatively low for its age, suggesting the vehicle may have been driven less frequently or maintained on a longer basis than typical for a 21-year-old. However, the mileage is not uniformly low; there are notable gaps between test dates, such as the significant jump from 45,312 miles in 2025 to 43,459 miles in 2023, which could imply that the vehicle was driven less recently or that the consumption rates for underseal or components have declined. This pattern suggests that while the vehicle may not be running at maximum efficiency, the wear on consumables is likely manageable without immediate replacement. Given the clean record and the stable trend, the primary focus should be on identifying any recurring faults in suspension, brakes, or drivetrain components. The absence of defects in the 2026 test means the vehicle is not currently at risk of catastrophic failure, but buyers should verify the condition of suspension bushes and coil springs, as well as brake discs and calipers, to ensure they meet current safety standards. A thorough inspection is required to confirm that these components are in good shape before the vehicle leaves the dealership.
