The most recent MOT on 2022-12-14 showed no defects, confirming the vehicle met safety standards at 19,516 miles. This aligns with previous passes in 2021 and 2020, which also had no recorded issues. The last notable entry was in 2017, when a front tyre valve stem was slightly damaged (4.1.2c), a minor fault that was likely repaired before the 2022 test. No further defects have been logged since 2017, indicating a stable condition over the past five years. The vehicle’s low mileage—19,516 miles over 17 years equates to roughly 1,148 miles annually—suggests either infrequent use or extended periods of inactivity. While lower mileage often correlates with less mechanical wear, it can also signal components aging without regular stress, such as seals, gaskets, or electrical systems. The absence of major defects in recent MOTs mitigates some concerns, but the low usage pattern warrants scrutiny of parts prone to degradation when unused. The recurring issue of front tyre valve stem damage in 2016 and 2017 highlights a potential vulnerability in the tyre system. Though resolved, this indicates a need to check for similar issues in the current vehicle, particularly if the valve stems show signs of wear or corrosion. No other faults have been recorded, suggesting the rest of the vehicle has remained in good condition.
