2019 Toyota Aygo 1.0L Petrol · PV19 SKU

This Toyota Aygo presents a clean and stable roadworthiness record, with the most recent MOT in April 2025 at 32,639 miles passing without any defects. The absence of advisories or failures in the last three tests—including the 2024 retest—indicates consistent compliance with basic legal standards, though the duplicate entry for May 2024 (one pass, one fail at identical mileage) suggests a clerical error rather than a mechanical issue. No recurring faults appear in the history, and the vehicle has not shown signs of worsening wear in critical areas like brakes, suspension, or structural integrity. That said, the lack of advisories could also imply minimal proactive checks beyond MOT minimums, leaving some wear states unverified. The mileage of 32,639 over seven years—roughly 4,663 miles annually—is exceptionally low for a vehicle of this age, raising questions about usage patterns. The gap between the 2023 test (26,221 miles) and the 2024 tests (31,782 miles) suggests the car sat unused for nearly a year, a trend that may have contributed to potential fluid degradation or battery condition issues. Such low mileage could mean the car has been stored intermittently, which might have spared it from high-stress wear but could also mask hidden problems like seized bearings or degraded seals. The absence of mileage accumulation between 2022 and 2023 further supports this, though it also means components like tyres, brakes, and suspension may not have been pushed to their typical service limits. For a buyer, the primary focus should be on components not routinely checked under MOT—specifically, the condition of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake fluid quality, given the prolonged periods of inactivity. The rear brakes should be inspected for binding or uneven wear, as the 2024 retest anomaly might hint at a transient issue not caught on paper. Structural corrosion, particularly around wheel arches and sills, should be scrutinised, as low-mileage vehicles stored in damp conditions can still develop hidden rust. Finally, the battery’s health and any signs of fluid leaks—especially around the engine bay—would be prudent to verify, given the extended periods between tests and potential for neglect. While the MOT history is technically flawless, the irregular mileage and lack of advisories suggest the car may not have received rigorous maintenance beyond legal requirements. A thorough pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic would be advisable to confirm the absence of deferred issues.
