2023 MG HS Excite S-A 1.5L Petrol · PX23 YSV

This vehicle presents a clean roadworthiness record with no history of defects or advisories. A pass was recorded on 14 January 2026, marking the first official MOT test for this 2023 model. The absence of any flagged issues at this initial milestone indicates that the vehicle met all DVSA safety and emissions standards without requiring remedial work. The recorded mileage of 18,015 miles represents a typical usage pattern for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 6,000 miles per year. This level of accumulation suggests a balanced duty cycle, which generally avoids the accelerated wear associated with high-mileage motorway use and the stagnation risks linked to prolonged periods of inactivity. Given the lack of recorded defects, there are no specific mechanical failures or recurring advisories to monitor. A test drive should focus on verifying the smooth operation of the automatic transmission and the absence of any unusual cabin noise or steering vibration, which would be atypical for a vehicle with this mileage and a clean test history. Inspection should be limited to a visual check of the tyre tread depths and brake pad thickness to ensure they remain within safe limits, as these consumables are not always flagged as defects unless they reach the legal minimum. Checking for any fluid leaks under the engine bay will complement the clean MOT record and provide a complete picture of the vehicle's current mechanical state.
