2016 Hyundai IX20 1.4L Petrol · PY66 CVZ

This vehicle presents an exceptionally stable roadworthiness profile. The most recent MOT on 20 March 2024 at 34,398 miles resulted in a clean pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This mirrors the results of the four previous tests dating back to March 2020, indicating a consistent level of mechanical integrity and a lack of recurring faults. The mileage is remarkably low for a ten year old vehicle, averaging roughly 3,440 miles per year. The odometer readings show a steady, low-volume increase, moving from 22,682 miles in March 2020 to 34,398 miles by March 2024. There are no erratic jumps in mileage or suspicious gaps that would suggest undisclosed heavy use or prolonged periods of abandonment. While the MOT record is flawless, the low annual mileage introduces specific risks associated with vehicle stagnation. A buyer should manually inspect the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting and check for binding calipers, as brakes often seize when under-utilised. The tyres should be checked for age-related cracking or flat spots, regardless of the remaining tread depth. Attention should also be paid to the rubber components, such as suspension bushes and engine mounts, which can perish over time even without high mileage. Given that the last recorded test was over a year ago relative to July 2026, a fresh inspection is necessary to ensure no new defects have developed during the recent period of inactivity.
