2002 Tiger KIT Supercat 2.0L Petrol · Q388 OOT

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status with a clean maintenance trend following a minor setback. The most recent test conducted in August 2024 at 2,364 miles resulted in a pass with no advisories or defects, indicating the vehicle remains in a functional condition. While a failure occurred in August 2022 at 2,234 miles, the vehicle was rectified immediately and passed all subsequent annual inspections without recurring issues. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 24-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 100 miles per year. Data shows a significant gap between the August 2019 and 2022 tests, during which the car covered only 123 miles over three years. Since 2022, the usage has remained minimal, covering just 130 miles in the last two years. This suggests the vehicle is stored for long periods or used only very occasionally, which shifts the mechanical risk from wear-and-tear to degradation from stationary components. A buyer must prioritize a physical inspection of components affected by long-term lack of use. Low mileage often masks hidden issues such as perished rubber bushings, flat-spotted tyres, and seized brake calipers due to infrequent operation. The structural integrity requires a close look for corrosion, as kit cars of this era can be susceptible to moisture retention if not kept dry. Additionally, engine fluids and seals should be checked for degradation or leaks, as these elements age over time regardless of the mileage recorded on the odometer.
