The most recent MOT test on 29 August 2025 confirms the vehicle remains roadworthy with no defects recorded at 19,394 miles. Over the past five consecutive tests—all passing without fail—the record demonstrates a stable maintenance pattern, with no advisories or recurring failures to suggest deteriorating mechanical health. The consistency of passing results, particularly the absence of any advisory notes on critical systems like suspension alignment, brake binding, or exhaust emissions, indicates the vehicle has been kept in a state of functional reliability. However, the lack of defects does not preclude the need for a thorough independent inspection, especially given the vehicle’s age and the relatively low mileage. The recorded mileage progression reveals an unusually low annual average of approximately 693 miles, which is atypical for a vehicle of this age. Between the August 2021 and August 2022 tests, the mileage increased by just 1,123 miles—a rate of around 562 miles per year—before accelerating slightly to around 930 miles annually in the following period. This suggests prolonged periods of inactivity, which could accelerate wear on components like suspension bushes, coil springs, and rubber seals due to prolonged static loading. The most recent gap between tests (August 2024 to August 2025) saw only 1,173 miles logged, reinforcing the likelihood of extended storage. Such conditions may have contributed to potential degradation in areas like wheel bearings, brake hydraulic seals, or even minor corrosion in underbody components. Given the vehicle’s age and the low mileage pattern, a buyer should prioritise an inspection of suspension integrity, particularly the condition of rear suspension bushes and coil springs, which may have deteriorated from prolonged static stress. The brakes, while not flagged in MOTs, warrant close examination for uneven wear or binding calipers, especially if the vehicle has been stored for extended periods. Tyre tread depth, despite not being a recurring MOT issue, should be verified, as the lack of advisories could indicate inconsistent maintenance. Structural corrosion, particularly around the frame rails, subframe mounts, and exhaust system, should be assessed, as rust can compromise structural integrity without immediately failing an MOT. Finally, the engine bay and drivetrain components—such as timing belt (if applicable), power steering seals, and differential fluid levels—should be inspected for leaks or excessive wear, as these are often overlooked in low-mileage but aged vehicles.
