2005 Suzuki Alto 1.1L Petrol · RF05 AJY

The 2024‑01‑25 MOT at 156,034 miles passed with no defects, confirming that the vehicle remains roadworthy as of the latest test. The preceding 2024‑01‑22 failure recorded no defects, and the 2023 and 2022 passes also showed zero defects, indicating a stable maintenance trajectory with no evident worsening or improving pattern. Mileage has risen from 136,218 miles in February 2022 to 156,034 miles by January 2025, an increase of roughly 19,816 miles over three years, or about 6,600 miles per year, which aligns with the vehicle’s age of 21 years and the typical 7,430 miles per year benchmark. The 13,370‑mile jump between February 2022 and January 2023 suggests a period of heavier use, while the smaller increments after that point to more regular, lower‑intensity driving; the three‑day gap between the two 2024 tests shows recent activity without excessive mileage accumulation. A buyer should therefore inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for wear or binding, examine the brake discs and calipers for scoring or uneven wear, and check the structural integrity of the chassis and wheel arches for rust or corrosion. Although no defects were logged in the recent tests, the repeated failures at similar mileage imply that previous brake or suspension issues may have been addressed, so verification of those components remains essential, along with an assessment of exhaust condition and any outstanding advisories.
