2008 LDV Maxus 2.5L Diesel · RK08 ACX

The vehicle currently presents a stable roadworthiness status, though the history reveals a pattern of intermittent compliance issues. Following the most recent test on 20 April 2023, the vehicle passed with no recorded defects, indicating that the mechanical standards were met at that time. This follows a period of instability between 2021 and 2022 where the vehicle failed two separate initial MOT tests before being rectified and passing the subsequent re-tests. Data regarding mileage accumulation is insufficient to perform a meaningful analysis of usage patterns or wear rates. Without specific mileage figures across the five recorded tests, it is impossible to determine if the vehicle has undergone high-mileage transit or remained stationary for extended periods. The gaps between tests are consistent, suggesting the owner maintained a standard annual testing schedule, but the lack of odometer data prevents an assessment of the remaining life on major components like the engine or drivetrain. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection of the structural integrity and suspension components, as the previous failures in 2021 and 2022 suggest that mechanical faults required attention. Given the age of the 2008 LDV Maxus, particular attention should be paid to corrosion on the chassis, mounting points, and exhaust system, which are common areas of failure for this era. The inspector should also check for binding calipers or worn suspension bushes to ensure that the issues which led to previous failures have not resurfaced since the clean result in 2023.
