2015 BMW 420 2.0L Diesel · RV65 ADU

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2026-03-11 at 131,707 miles confirmed it met roadworthiness standards with no defects recorded. Subsequent tests from 2022 to 2025 also showed consistent passing results, indicating a stable maintenance trend. No recurring issues or escalating faults were flagged across the five-year history, suggesting the previous owner prioritized regular servicing. The absence of advisories or critical failures implies the car has been well-maintained within its operational lifespan. The mileage progression aligns with an average annual usage of 11,973 miles, reflecting typical wear for a 11-year-old vehicle. Tests were conducted approximately 12 months apart, with no significant gaps or rapid mileage spikes that might indicate neglect or excessive use. The 2022-05-14 test at 89,100 miles marked the earliest recorded data, followed by steady increases to 131,707 miles. This pattern suggests regular, predictable usage rather than periods of inactivity or heavy strain on components. While no specific mechanical faults were noted, a buyer should verify the condition of high-wear items such as suspension bushes, brake discs, and exhaust emissions, as these often degrade over time. The lack of corrosion reports is positive, but a visual inspection for rust on underbody panels and chassis seams is advisable. Additionally, checking the integrity of coil springs and the functionality of binding calipers—common issues in older BMWs—would provide further assurance. The MOT history confirms compliance but does not replace a hands-on assessment of the vehicle’s mechanical and structural state.
