2006 Bentley Continental 6.0L Petrol · RX56 CXD

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test conducted on 12 July 2025 at 13,785 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, maintaining the trend established over the previous several years. This suggests the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that avoids the immediate mechanical or structural failures typically flagged by DVSA testers. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a twenty-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 689 miles per year. There is a significant four-year gap in the records between May 2018 and August 2022, during which the car covered only 16 miles. Since 2022, the usage has increased slightly, averaging roughly 150 to 200 miles per annum, but the total remains remarkably low. Such low-frequency use often indicates the vehicle has been stored or stationary for long periods, which presents different risks than those associated with high-mileage driving. A buyer must focus on the risks associated with low-mileage storage rather than mechanical wear. Inspection should prioritize rubber components such as suspension bushes, hoses, and tyres, which may have perished or developed flat spots despite minimal tread wear. Brake discs and calipers should be checked for corrosion or seizing due to lack of use. Given the age and the Bentley marque, a thorough check of the fluid integrity and the air suspension system is essential to ensure no degradation has occurred that a standard MOT test cannot detect.
